THE ISSUES AT HAND
MY EXPERIENCE
Shaunda’s experience navigating her way as a parent through different educational models allows her to understand the complexities schools are currently facing. Impressed by the delivery of education in SD43, Shaunda is keen to become actively involved in bringing grass root parent concerns to the table and be a representative for the larger family of parents and students, ensuring all voices are heard.
Shaunda is a passionate advocate for Children & Families and has been actively involved in PACs for 13 years, with experience working with senior school administration.
MY FOCUS
Shaunda’s focus would be as a School Trustee is to ensure effective communication channels exist, and work, for all families and especially those facing the challenging issues of bullying, mental health concerns, substance abuse and addiction. Shaunda is committed to ensuring that voices are not only heard but acted upon as well, with an emphasis on early mediation and the implementation of educational programmes reacting in a timely and sensitive manner.
Shaunda is excited for the opportunity to serve the community of SD43 as a School Trustee; it would be such a privilege.
